“I have found my true passion: assisting individuals in living their best lives by empowering them to enhance their mental health through improved emotional intelligence. After several years of working as a marriage and family therapist, I observed recurring lessons that numerous clients benefited from—insights and techniques that were closely tied to a person’s emotional intelligence. That’s when it occurred to me: why not share these valuable insights and practical strategies with as many people as I can? And so, Elev8EQ was founded!”

About Heidi

Heidi Vernon is a passionate advocate for emotional intelligence (EQ) and the transformative power it holds in fostering personal and professional growth. As the owner and founder of Elev8EQ, Heidi has dedicated her career to helping individuals and organizations enhance their emotional awareness, resilience, and interpersonal skills.

With a background in marriage and family therapy, Heidi brings eight years of experience in providing face-to-face mental health services specializing in trauma recovery. Heidi has discovered that having a baseline competency in emotional intelligence, particularly in the family culture, can help to prevent the onset of trauma altogether or decrease the intensity of its effects.

Heidi has worked with diverse clients ranging from executives and teams to students and community organizations, tailoring programs that promote emotional literacy, effective communication, and empathetic leadership.

Heidi is committed to creating a supportive environment where students can learn to navigate their emotions, build stronger relationships, and achieve their goals. Through Heidi’s experience-based, professionally developed online EQ courses, she provides practical strategies that empower individuals to elevate their EQ and enhance their overall well-being.

Heidi holds a Master of Science in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling (MFCC) from CSU-Fresno which is CACREP accredited and a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Recreation in Parks and Tourism at Southern Utah University. She is continuously expanding her knowledge in the field of emotional intelligence. Heidi regularly provides trainings wherein she shares insights on the importance of emotional intelligence with an emphasis on practical application  in today’s world.

In addition to her professional work, Heidi is passionate about giving back to the community. She actively participates in service projects, from cleaning up local canyons to volunteering with organizations like Rotary International, YouthLinc, Choice Humanitarian, Habitat for Humanity, and her local church. Heidi also enjoys practicing mindfulness in the great outdoors with her dog Buddy, finding peace and calm through her connection with nature.

Heidi Vernon is driven by a transformative mission to reshape global perceptions of emotional intelligence. She empowers individuals to tap into their own emotional awareness, fostering stronger relational connection, enhanced communication, and ultimately a more rewarding life. Heidi firmly believes that with dedicated effort to master one’s emotions, individuals not only elevate their own lives but can reach heights they once considered unattainable.

Our Mission:

“At Elev8EQ, our mission is to empower individuals and teams to unleash the transformative power of emotional intelligence through comprehensive online courses. We are dedicated to providing engaging and accessible learning experiences that focus on three key areas: unlocking personal EQ for self-discovery and growth, developing emotional intelligence to enhance workplace dynamics, and strengthening personal and family relationships. By fostering a deeper understanding of emotions and enhancing interpersonal skills, we aim to create a more empathetic, resilient, and connected world.”

So, can anyone benefit from our courses at Elev8EQ on emotional intelligence, regardless if they need or want therapy?

Absolutely! Our course on emotional intelligence is beneficial for everyone, regardless of whether they are seeking therapy. Skills such as self-awareness, empathy, effective communication, and conflict resolution are essential in all areas of life. Since life is inherently messy and emotional, learning to manage our feelings in various situations can lead to greater happiness and fulfillment.

Individuals can apply the principles of emotional intelligence to handle daily challenges, improve teamwork and collaboration, and create a positive work environment. Additionally, developing emotional intelligence enhances stress management and decision-making skills.
